I woke up early today to make breakfast, Korean egg bread. It was pretty yummy but kids want to eat more than one...which I didn't make enough...lol😅 Bread is chewy even though I whipped the batter like cake. I also used my extra egg white and cheese. Needed to bake longer since I have a thick bread.
Recipe from➡️ Seodam
In the mood to make assorted buns today. Made some ham egg and cheese, cheese burger, ham corn and cheese, and custard buns. Kids super happy to eat them. 😋
I've been so busy but finally have some time to bake my boy a birthday cake. This year it's the minion! So cute I didn't want to eat him. 😆
Have not make this Taiwanese beef noodles soup for a while. So good and quick using instant pot. Didn't go to Asian market so I just use beef chuck. Recipe from thewoksoflife. Instead of using 100 minutes on meat stew, I only did 25 minutes pressure cook and then quick release after another 15-20 minutes since I'm in a hurry to eat.😅
So to sastify my curiosity of second version of heong peng 香饼 without flour, I made some to try. I also made some Taiwan sun cake 太陽餅because I was curious of that as well. Since I'm making the two pastries, I can't leave out the favorite wife cake...lol. I used one dough recipe to make all three pastries. I think this is good idea if you want to eat assorted pastries. 😋
The sun cake tastes pretty good and kids like them too. So sad for my wife cakes got burnt because I was too busy chewing the leaked heong peng fillings and forgot time. Lucky still tasty.🤣😂
Recipe ➡️ Sun Cakes reduce sugar if you don't want too sweet.
Trying new a pastry. This is fragrant pastry, heong peng 香饼. Contains maltose, shallots and sesame seeds in fillings which smell really nice. This pastry is crispy, flaky and also chewy at the same time. Learning something new to sastify my tummy.😋
Made some wife cakes with my home grown winter melon and pineapple tarts for my sister to try and takes on airplane. I told her to share some with my brother...and she left him one tart!🤣 She said I can make more for him later...lol.
This year decided to do a fondant cake for my daughter's birthday. I'm not a fondant fan but sure is fun for the kids since they get to help make the decorations. This is also my first fondant cake. Still need a lot of practices...lol.🥳
Last year I saw the waterlily at Lowes on clearance for only $3. So I bought one home, first I stuck it in my fish tank then there was algea problem so I repotted in another big pot. Didn't really expect much so very surprised to see a flower! Very pretty. Now come the question where and how to store it in the winter so it can survive the snow here.🤯😆
Super busy month but I managed to make some mooncakes for the kids. Everyone want the oreo flavor! 😋Happy Mid-Autumn to everyone!!!
Made some cookies today and it is one of the best. I made two batches and freeze the extra dough for next time. Love this recipe, add whatever you want to it to create new varieties. Recipe from keyingredient. I find baking at a higher temperature is best. 400 F for 11-12 minutes. I did reduce some sugar, also add in some caramel and marshmallows for some cookies.
My twin nieces first birthday. I baked them durian cream cakes and decorated with meringue and lollipops. Also made some cake pops for the all the kids. First time making cake pops and lollipops, definitely need more practice. The glossy lollipops definitely look nice on the cake! 🥰
My friend shared this information with me and I want to share with you. Hope we will not need to use this and everyone is safe and healthy❣

This was shared on a Covid survivor group...have heard many of these before but it seems helpful:
HOW TO FIGHT COVID AT HOME
No one ever talks about how to fight Covid at home. I came down with Covid in November. I went to the hospital, running a fever of 103, a rapid heart beat, and other common symptoms that come with Covid. While I was there they treated me for the high fever, dehydration and pneumonia.
The doctor sent me home to fight Covid with two prescriptions - Azithromycin 250mg & Dexamethason 6mg. When the nurse came in to discharge me, I asked her, "What can I do to help fight this at home?" She said, “Sleep on your stomach at all times with Covid. If you can’t sleep on your stomach because of heath issues sleep on your side. Do not lay on your back no matter what because it smashes your lungs and that will allow fluid to set in.
Set your clock every two hours while sleeping on your stomach, then get out of bed and walk for 15-30 min, no matter how tired or weak that you are. Also move your arms around frequently, it helps to open your lungs. Breathe in thru your nose, and out thru your mouth. This will help build up your lungs, plus help get rid of the Pneumonia or other fluid you may have.
When sitting in a recliner, sit up straight - do not lay back in the recliner, again this will smash your lungs. While watching TV - get up and walk during every commercial.
Eat at least 1 - 2 eggs a day, plus bananas, avocado and asparagus. These are good for Potassium. Drink Pedialyte, Gatorade Zero, Powerade Zero & Water with Electrolytes to prevent you from becoming dehydrated. Do not drink anything cold - have it at room temperature or warm it up. Water with lemon, and little honey, peppermint tea, apple cider are good suggestions for getting in fluids. No milk products, or pork. Vitamin’s D3, C, B, Zinc, Probiotic One-Day are good ideas. Tylenol for fever. Mucinex, or Mucinex DM for drainage, plus helps the cough. Pepcid helps for cramps in your legs. One baby aspirin everyday can help prevent getting a blood clot, which can occur from low activity. "
Drink a smoothie of blueberries, strawberries, bananas, honey, tea and a spoon or two of peanut butter.
We always hear of how Covid takes lives, but there isn't a lot of information out there regarding how to fight Covid. I hope this helps you or someone you know, just as it has helped me.

I finally found the red candied cherry after searching a few stores! This is my first time trying this cake and not sure if I will like it or not so only make a small one. I think the reason why I want to try is because it's such a pretty cake with all the red, green, orange color making it so festive for the holidays. However, after excitingly baking and trying...I might have to eat everyday this a week to see if I really like it or not. Maybe tastes better as day passes or I'll learn to like it more?...😅 So far none of my family want a second bite! 😂 I will try a cream cheese version which have no alcohol so kids might like it better I hope...since I have a lot of fruit candied left.😬
Edit: Eating cake the next day. It smells so good. Taste very good too. Cake with a hot cup of coffee! I think I'll make this cake just for me every year. 😆
I followed ➡️Apron recipes. Just changed the fruits a bit since I didn't have apricot. I used red green cherries, pineapple, orange peels, raisins, golden raisins, and dates.
*** Please note original batter a little dry so I used 113g butter and 2 xlarge eggs instead. I think a little bit more butter or milk to have a moist cake. My ingredients.
I have expiring heavy whipping cream so decided to bake some cream puffs. There are many recipes out there so which one to try? I saw this one on➡️ YouTube and decided to try it. The recipe is good and perfect for us. Any left over unfilled puffs, I just airfry them for about 5 mins at 380F the next day and fill with the left over cream. I did add 1 tbsp of sugar when whipping the cream since I didn't want it to be blant. I also needed to buy for 30 minutes instead of 20. Baking time definitely depends on your oven.
Merry Christmas! This year we went to our parents to celebrate Christmas together. Since I need to go to my parents on Christmas eve I didn't have time to prepare anything other than panettone as gifts for families. I made 2 batches which made 9 panettone just enough to give to everyone.
Here is our dinner. My mom is a great cook! Yum..yumm😋
